Day 1

Fly to Hanoi

Welcome to your holiday with Your Vietnam Travel

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, either Domestic or International arrival, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your guide who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Your Vietnam Travel's signboard with your name on it. 

(Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability).

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour - Water Puppet Show

8.30 Sightseeing today includes explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas, start a Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house), the Presidential Palace, the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Temple of Literature; West Lake including the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda; and one of the city’s museums (a choice between the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum). End the day’s explorations, enjoy a traditional water puppet show.

Day 3

Hanoi - Heading to Ha Giang

Our guide will pick you up at hotel in Hanoi and take a 291-KM drive to Ha Giang at least 6 hours passing through the countryside, villages, and towns in far Northern Vietnam. 

Along the way, stop to visit Mac Dynasty Citadel in Tuyen Quang Province and a nearby local market.

Have a lunch at local restaurant before continuing the journey to Ha Giang. On arrival in the mid-afternoon, visit Tha Cultural Village which is 5 Km away from the town center. The village is home to Tay people and surrounded by rice terrace. Spend your dinner and overnight in a local Tay house.

Day 4

Ha Giang - Transfer to Dong Van

After getting the mandatory permit at the Immigration Office, you will journey along a spectacular road with a series of long passes and deep valleys leading to Dong Van.

Having a lunch in the small mountain town of Tam Son  before heading to the majestic “King of the H’mong Palace”, a fortress built by a local chief, Vuong Chin Duc, who allied himself with French forces against the Viet Minh. Continue the journey to reach out Dong Van at around 18:00 where you will have dinner at a local restaurant and stay

Day 5

Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Van - Cao Bang

After breakfast, visit Dong Van Market where local people go to stock up on daily supplies. You will then climb a pass up to the French Fortress of Pu Lo which was built in 1890 and vacated in 1945.  As well as being of historical significance the fortress offers remarkable views of the region. 

Continue driving along one of the most astonishing roads in Vietnam, which climbs 15 km up to the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a gigantic maze of unique limestone peaks and canyons. Take a panorama view of Nho Que river from the top and admire the stunning sunset before continuing to Meo Vac.

Upon arrival, visiting Meo Vac Market before continuing on the snaking road through the mountains, crossing the river, and arriving in Cao Bang. You will have dinner and spend the night in Cao Bang.

Day 6

Cao Bang - Transfer to Bang Gioc Waterfall

It takes around 2 hours from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc Waterfall - the border of Vietnam and China. From here you will have plenty of time to relax, enjoy the breathtaking sights and take photos. 

Visit Nguom Ngao Cave and explore part of the magical underground cavern. After visiting the waterfall and cave, you will travel down a beautiful road which is unknown to many. The road winds through the mountains before reaching the Nung village of Quang Uyen. Have dinner and spend the night in a traditional Nung house.

Day 7

Cao Bang - Ba Be Lake

Spend 3 hour to reach out Ba Be. Upon arrival, you will board the house owner’s boat and take a trip through the three lakes which make up Ba Be Lake and up the Nang River to  Puong Cave, a 300-meter long tunnel through a mountain. 

If the weather is hote, you can have a swim in the cool, refreshing water before you visit the stilt houses of a Tay ethnic minority village.

Day 8

Ba Be - Hanoi

Morning, you will start the trip by visiting some lovely villages such as Pac Ngoi Village where you can see more examples of the beautifully crafted stilt houses. Next, you are able to enter Hua Ma Cave which is famous for its thousand of stalactites and columns. 

End of the trip, transfer back to Hanoi with a lunch en route

Day 10

Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight on Cruise

Our guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at lobby of hotel at 8.00 -8.20AM and start journey east to Halong Bay, through picturesque rice-farming villages of the Red River Delta, where we see every day Vietnamese village life. On arrival, we board a beautiful traditional junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay’s 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Spend the night on our luxurious boat

Day 11

Halong Bay/ Lan Ha Bay - Hanoi

Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Halong. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier to get back Hanoi.

Day 12

Hanoi - Fly to Hue

After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch a flight to Hue, upon arrival, our driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 13

Hue City Tour - Transfer to Hoi an

After breakfast, you will board the Dragon Boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River heading out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to the most beautiful tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. You will enjoy a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is considered the symbol of Hue, and of Buddhism in Vietnam. From here you will rejoin your car and visit King Minh Mang’s Tomb OR King Tu Duc’s Tomb. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to visit Hue Citadel and Dong Ba Market.

Next, take the scenic route to Hoi An from Hue via Hai Van pass, on the way, our driver will stop at Lang Co Beach, Marble Mountain. Upon arrival Hoi an, Check in your hotel

Day 14

Hoi An Walking Tour - Tra Que Village

Cycling into the countryside to the small farming community of Tra Que Vegetable Village. Here you can enjoy the lush green countryside and see the farmers at work, later learn to make Vietnamese spring roll and free on foot massage by herbs. Transfer back to Hoi An and free visiting a lovely old house, still occupied by the descendants of the merchants who built it over 200 years ago, before seeing the elaborate Japanese Bridge, a Chinese temple, the bustling market. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 15

Hoi An - My Son

My Son Sanctuary, situated around 50km away from Hoi An, is another Cultural Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1999 with 32 epitaphs and 71 monuments. The unique Hindu sanctuary is the perfectly ideal destination for those who want to learn everything about the Champa Ancient Kingdom including the history, culture, and architecture.

This morning (afternoon), you will set out on a drive to the southwest of Hoi An to My Son Sanctuary for a My Son half day tour. This is where the Cham culture in Central Vietnam started in the 4th century, declined in the 13th century, and ceased to exist in the 15th century. The once capital of the Champa Kingdom dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva is now a cluster of partially ruined and heavily damaged Hindu temples, with only 20 left, due to age and bombing during the Vietnam War. This unique and majestic sanctuary stands as a witness to a glorious bygone era of the once-thriving Cham culture

Day 16

Hoi An

Today, it is time for you to explore art and handicraft galleries, try on clothes tailor-made, relax at the riverside restaurants or take the short journey to the nearby beach. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 17

Hoi An - Fly to Ho Chi Minh

Free until transfer to Da Nang airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up at airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 18

Ho Chi Minh - Excursion Mekong Delta

A smooth one-and-half-hour bus ride through rice field scenery along National Highway 1 brings you to the beautiful rural district of Trung Luong.

On arrival at My Tho, after visiting Vinh Trang pagoda, take a motor boat to enter My Tho city through Bao Dinh natural canal. Take a leisurely cruise on the Tien River to view the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.

Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant, then visit the coconut candy mill and take an amazing rowing boat trip along the small canal on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by locals.

Meet at the bus and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 19

Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Cu Chi Tunnel

Breakfast at hotel, after picked up at 8.00 AM, you will take a short sight-seeing: visit Notre Dame Cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880, the Central Post Office, the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. 

In the afternoon, our guide pick up at hotel and go to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km, from Saigon to the Cambodian border, and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving you a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like.
