The Treasure of Mekong Delta

8.00 Depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel to My Tho, a city in the Mekong Delta region. Upon arrival in My Tho City, The boat take you to small canal, where is the place you totally escape from the busy town. The boat cruise in the coconut trees canal takes you to a coconut island in Ben Tre. We disembark and have a walk around the village. Stop at a local family to enjoy tropical fruit, taste honey tea, honey wine and listen to Vietnamese traditional music, performance by the villagers.

Continue walking on the village’s road to coconut candy shop, learn how to make candy, how some handicraft made by coconut tree. Take a walk through village with two sides there are so many kind of fruits, flowers, trees, local houses, children in Mekong delta, take your time to have nice photos and enjoy nature scenery.

Transfer to Cai Be & check in authentic local family house.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to our local host and embark on a boat journey. As we glide past the bustling and colorful Cai Be floating market, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere and witness the trading of farming produce on the boats. Optional stops can be made at local workshops, where we can observe the traditional processes of making rice paste, coconut candy, and popular snacks like pop-rice and pop-corn.

Next, we indulge in the serene experience of row boat riding, venturing deeper into the verdant countryside along narrow creeks. Here, we are greeted by the sight of traditional wooden houses with roofs made of palm tree leaves. We witness the daily activities of local farmers, including fishing, agriculture cultivation, and fruit picking in their gardens.

We make another stop at a tree nursery garden, where we learn about the cultivation of high-quality fruit trees. This is an opportunity to meet Mr. Tiger and his successful son, renowned farmers in Vietnam's agriculture sector. We savor the fruits from their garden and enjoy homemade rice wine while listening to traditional music. Lastly, we visit brick kilns to witness the creation of beautiful pottery from clay.

Returning to our boat, we take a short ride to Vinh Long town, where we can explore the local daily market and gain insights into the culinary culture of the residents in this small, tranquil town.

Afer lunch, we continue our journey to Can Tho - the largest city in the Mekong Delta.. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Can Tho.

Rise early and embark on a boat tour to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta.

Experience the vibrant atmosphere as boats filled with fruits, vegetables, and other goods gather on the river.

Depart from Can Tho and head to Chau Doc, a riverside town near the Vietnam-Cambodia border.

Visit the sacred Sam Mountain and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Explore the unique Cham village and learn about the local Cham ethnic minority.

Overnight in Chau Doc.

After breakfast, transfer to Tra Su cajuput forest which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Taking a boat trip into the forest and harmonizing oneself with nature. The impressive pictures of cajuputs, the fragrance of flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects and animals will definitely make you not wanting to leave. From the observation post, the forest can be seen with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones. 

OPTION 1:  you will get on the coach to the dock and take a speedboat to Phnompenh and go on the trip to Cambodia.

OPTION 2: Return to Ho Chi Minh City
