This 5-day Northern Vietnam highlights tour is perfect for travelers who want to experience Vietnam’s most iconic landscapes and cultural treasures in a short time. From the vibrant streets of Hanoi to an overnight cruise in Halong Bay or Lan Ha Bay, and the scenic countryside of Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave), the itinerary offers a well-balanced mix of city life, natural wonders, and history.
Fly to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our shuttles bus & guide will be holding a sign with your name and welcome you at Noi Bai International airport, transfer hotel for check in. Lunch is on your account, afternoon you are free to explore the city in your own way.
Optional: a half day city tour to explore Hanoi – capital of Vietnam. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas, start a Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's Cathedral. End of the day, free for shopping at The Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.

Our guide will pick you up at hotel and start journey east to Halong Bay at 7.40-08.10AM, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters. Overnight on Cruise.

Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Halong. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier to get back Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

The trip starts at Tam Coc area. Taking a rowing Tam Coc Boat Tours from Tam Coc wharf. The boat tour is arranged by local people with their both hands and legs.
Visit 3 Magical Grottos: Hang Ca (First Grotto), Hang Hai (Second Grotto), Hang Ba (Third Grotto) during Tam Coc River Tour
Relax with biking around Tam Coc in 30-45 minutes. If you travel during harvest season, you will see many rice fields in golden colors

The tour guide will take you to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, founded in 968, it remained capital until the early 11th century when Emperor Ly Thai To moved it to today’s Hanoi . Arriving in this beautiful mountainous landscape, you’ll walk 300m to the temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasty
The last destination, Mua cave. The cave is compared with “Great wall of China”. Here you walk 500 steps to reach the top of Mua cave then take a lookout of a splendid overview of Ninh Binh
End of the tour, relax and get on the minivan for returning to Ha Noi
